After hearing about a burglar ransacking the business, deputies surrounded a Pico Rivera funeral home Tuesday night.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department first learned about the alleged burglary at about 9:50 p.m. When deputies arrived, they found the suspect inside. However, the burglar refused to surrender.
It was unclear if the suspect was armed. Deputies called for a special tactical squad as they negotiated with the suspect.
